For a lot of women, boudoir starts there. Not with confidence, but with the feeling that something has been missing for a while.
That’s why we don’t start with the camera.
Before your session, we take the time to understand what brought you here, how you want to be photographed, and anything you’re unsure about.
Whether your session is photographed by Shane Michael or one of our female associates, a female posing coach and assistant will be with you throughout the shoot. The team guides you through posing, movement, expression, wardrobe, positioning, and any adjustments that need to happen during the session.
Boudoir isn’t a novelty, a dare, or something you have to earn by reaching a certain age, size, or level of confidence.
It’s professional portraiture built around the person in front of the camera, with the planning, direction, and support needed to do it well.

The Conversation
Every River Rose boudoir experience starts with a free consultation. We talk about what brought you here, what you want from the experience, what makes you nervous and any questions you have before deciding to book.
The Plan
Once you book, we plan the details together. We talk through wardrobe, comfort level, boundaries, and the overall direction so you know what to expect before you arrive.
The Session
When you arrive, we ease into it. You’re guided through every pose, movement and expression with a female posing and support team beside you throughout the session. Your posing coach and assistant stay with you throughout, so you’re never left wondering what to do.
The Reveal
Sneak peeks are delivered within 24 to 48 hours, with your full gallery ready in about four weeks. You’ll select the images you want to keep, while the remaining images stay available in a look gallery. Additional digital images and product options are available for purchase.
